International Baccalaureate (IB) is a nonprofit educational organization whose fundamental objectives are expressed in its declaration of principles. The students are its central axis, considering that it enables them to take an active learning attitude.
It was founded in 1968 and is currently working with 400 schools in 147 countries in order to develop and offer four demanding educational programmes to more than 1.200.000 students within an age range of 3 to 19.
ASCIBP (Asociación de Colegios IB del Perú) is a nonprofit association made up of diverse Peruvian schools recognized by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IB), which foster the principles of such entity.
It offers a flexible and challenging curriculum with the support of excellent resources and training, which are part of a group of central courses and transversal perspectives. It also motivates students to participate in a variety of subjects making connections among them.
Cambridge IGCSE helps to improve the performance of students through the development of skills related to: creative and critical thinking, research and solution of problems and decision making. It is an academic programme of international preparation that provides the tools to study, work and communicate in English.
LAHC is an Association of leaders from schools with an international approach, initially based on British educational principles. Its members are committed to share best practices and provide opportunities for professional development at all levels, through a network of mutual support. It looks to minimize its carbon footprint through sustainable development.
ADECOPA is an educational association with a large range of styles and proposals whose vision is to create a participative and cooperative model, which promotes the strengths of its members and ensures a quality education. It fosters culture as well as healthy competition among students through sports, festivals and contests, in order for them to benefit through respectful sport practices. Regarding the academic and cultural aspects, students participate in math festivals, “floral” games in Spanish and English, and visual arts festivals. Its professional association focuses on the interests of its members and private education in general.
APD is a legally organized nonprofit institution that coordinates activities to promote debate in Peru. Its mission is to expand debate opportunities in English and Spanish in Peruvian schools, develop training programmes for judges and student coaches, and support debate activities organized by school members. APD also organizes local, national and international competitions and selects the members of the Peruvian national team that will participate in the debate World Championship at schools and for the Pan-American competition.
